Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number 10 Kullaroo Close in Kuranda. This property is going to be absolutely ideal if you are looking for low maintenance lifestyle. It’s also going to suit, because it’s got a granny flat, an extended family or an investor if you’re looking for a really good rental return. Of course, it’s got all the other yummy extras that you would expect including fully fenced 1,200 square meters and easy walking distance into Kuranda Village. Angela: This really is a no-nonsense property and when we talked about low maintenance, we’ve got things like tiled floor, rendered block on the walls on the outside. All you have to do every five years is literally, if you want to, you could maybe even every 10 years, you give a lick of paint and you cut your grass and you sit back and you enjoy. Let’s do a little bit of orientation. The main house here is three bedrooms and we’ve got a master here. Big bathroom here and we’ve got two bedrooms.
The main kitchen living is obviously this area here. Now, this is just a portable benchtop. It doesn’t come with the property but we’ve still got plenty of space there for all the wonderful chefs in the family. Let’s just have a quick look through here. This is the sewing room or one of the rooms that’s used as an office or a sewing room. Plenty big, beautiful, natural sunlight coming in and, of course, we’ve got the fly screens as well as air-conditioning as well as heating in the main house.
Then go check out this area over here. This actually is the sewing room, may be used as a sewing room and it’s got built-in robes. Then in this direction, we’ve got the master bedroom in here and that bathroom is absolutely huge. It’s got a great, big corner bath and you could just imagine jumping in and out of that on those wonderful hot days. Go have a quick look.
Angela: We’ve come out the kitchen. You’ve had a wonderful look, a view of the back garden which is just gorgeous. It’s a beautiful, warm, sunny day today and you just get the sense of all that natural light. Again, it is a low maintenance garden but there’s enough there to keep you completely occupied and interested if you are a gardener. As I said, we’ve come out the kitchen. We’ve got a huge laundry just behind us and then we’ve got this breezeway or what would have been the original back veranda that takes us and joins us on to that huge granny flat.
Let’s go in there. It’s almost- I’m not sure but I think it might even be bigger than the house. Let’s go and have a look. As we get into the granny flat, we’ve actually got the double garage that you would’ve seen when we came in. The double garage is actually bigger than average. I think it’s about 8 meters by 6.5. Plenty of space. Now, this is a utility entrance rumpusy, again, would have been a closed-in original veranda but the granny flat, as I said, is bigger than average. It’s got a living area, it’s got a kitchen.
Come on in. Oh, and entrance is, by the way, two which is super handy for rental. We’ve got its own kitchen. It’s got its own living area. It’s got its own bedroom. It has got a little office or a little annex area, utility area and it’s also got its own bathroom and separate toilet but I think what’s key is the fact that we have got, again, three different entrances. One can come in from the carport which is huge and big enough for a motorhome as well as its own single carport.
It can come in from the back garden or it can come in through the back shed. It is big and it is spacious and, as I said, perfect for the extended family or for rental. Let’s go have a quick look through.
Angela: I mentioned about the gardens. Everybody knows that I love gardens and it is, again, I keep going on about it but it is low maintenance. When you think about the 1,200 square meters, it has been beautifully designed. We’ve got paving, we’ve got, again, low maintenance grass. That shed, even though we can’t get in it today, it’s filled with boxes so we’re not going to go in and have a look. It is huge. It is about 10 by 6 and, again, it is block, so low maintenance.
The carport at the side is, again, bigger than average and the double lock-up garage at the front is bigger than average. As you come have a little wander through, we’ve got beautiful things like dragon fruit. Just glorious, glorious tropical fruit. We’ve got an aviary and for those real bright, sunny days like today, you can just sit up the back here and just enjoy looking at your own property and it is peaceful and it is quiet. Again, it is fully fenced. What is not to love?
