Hi. I’m Angela Martin and welcome to Number 22 Spring Crescent in Kuranda. [clears throat] Excuse me. What is it we say? Location, location, location, and you will literally pass by million-dollar properties on the way home to here. Let’s go up, have an explore.

When I said when you can actually see what you’re buying, a gate is always super-duper helpful when you start off and with a little bit of fencing just along this front section here, but this is just great because we have a driveway. Normally, like we said, when you buy a block of land, there’s so many hidden extras, as in squillions of dollars potentially of hidden extras. When you buy a block of land where it’s got nothing but trees on it, you really can’t even get the sense of how flat it is, if it’s got gulleys on it, and how much it’s going to cost to actually clear through that perfect house.

The first thing we’ll see is that this is elevated. We’re coming up here, and we’ve got sparkly, sparkly blue sky this afternoon. The pad, it’s already done. We’ve got the breezes, and we’ve got the mountain views. Literally, just a couple of months old, we have got a shed, Colorbond shed. As we know, when we actually start building on a block of land, you want a place to put stuff. You want a place for storage. You want a place to camp. You want a place to have your tea. This is it. It is literally, literally just months old, and concrete slab, full Colorbond, and an insulation paper as we can see. Let’s just do a little pan here. We’ll go up there in a minute, and we’ll go back and have a look at the shed.

You’ll see at the front here, we’ve actually got two ways of getting in if you like. We’ve got the roller door, which will open up when we go in, and then the regular door. It smells brand new. It is brand new. Look at how easy this opens up. No dirt in those tracks yet. Perfectly beautiful polished– When I say polished, I mean smooth concrete floor, and again, the insulation paper that goes up and over. The dimensions are about six by six that way, and it’s about six meters wide in this direction, and the carport is about another three meters, so we have got a real good size. As I said, every person needs a shed when we start off.

The location, and if you can listen or hear, nothing. It is complete and utter peace and quiet. Let’s go up the elevated path so that we can look down onto the pad, and then we’ll just go for a little bit of a wander and talk about all about the bits that have actually been done.

We’ve got the elevation, and we’ve got the views. This is probably the high point of the property where you have got a lot of natural garden. It could be beautiful beyond belief. We’ve got the privacy all the way around of Kuranda rainforest. It really is absolutely stunning. That looks like a Cadagi tree over there, which is the ones where they’re native. When it rains, the bark goes that beautiful crystaly, sparkly green and blue color. They are magnificent, magnificent trees. We’ve got a little bit of a dip just up over here. This, if we look at the house pad and where we are in relation to the shed, is massive, absolutely massive.

The plans for the potential house have already been drawn up from the current owner, and that cost about $14,000. For anyone who might be interested in purchasing the property here, those plans would be made available if you wanted to. We’ve got all our main services along the front street. As we’ve said, all the earthworks have been done, which is the hardest part. Of course, a little storage shed, a little studio, a little place that we can put our cars or our kids’ toys just straight there. Of course, the driveway, which is always an expensive part of creating a property, a little bit of fence along the front, that’s all been done.

Really, all you have to do is jump in your car in the morning, head off to work, come home, park your car, and just start to build that dream. It is absolutely magical, and there is nothing in the world quite like it. We’ve also got a 4,300 square meters. It’s just over an acre. Again, plenty, plenty, plenty of space for privacy. I have to go on about this. This elevation, you feel the breeze, and you can see my hair moving. It’s peaceful. It’s quiet. You have sun, so you don’t have to worry about mould where you live in the wet tropics in beautiful far north Queensland in a gulley. You don’t want that. You want the brightness. You want the glory of the trees, and of course, you just want the sunshine.
